Established in November 2006, Escape Skin Care Center was developed to enhance the experience of your dental visit. We firmly believed, and still do, that just as routinely as your teeth need to be cleaned, your skin requires that same priority and attention. While building a skin care center into a dental practice seemed awkward to some people at first, the more established we became, the more it made sense.
Typically speaking, a visit to the dental office is a stressful experience for most people, but it is necessary. Research has shown that a person who is relaxed and comfortable has a much better dental experience, with better results, than someone who is full of anxiety and ready to flee at first sight of the chair. Offering a pampering facial prior to seeing the dentist allowed our clients to relax. The atmosphere changed from one of fear to a calming environment. Suddenly the dreaded dental visit became something pleasant and welcome. With less apprehension about seeing the dentist, clients increasingly opted for more cosmetic procedures. And, with a brighter, new smile, the focus on improving their total appearance meant more clinical skin treatment. Due to the demand of our clients, we evolved into more of a skin treatment center than a pampering dental spa. Escape Skin Care Center has become its own entity.
With the technology available today, we are able to make dramatic changes in your skin. We still offer a relaxing, pampering facial, but our focus has turned toward offering skin treatment that delivers! Someone once asked who we are. We are not a day spa, not a destination or resort spa, not really a dental spa. Maybe the closest type of spa would be a medi-spa because of the medical grade treatments we have available to you. Above all, we are a skin treatment center. We offer personalized service and programs, customized to fit your needs and budget.

Hi, my name is Susie Densley, owner and marketing director. While I’m not currently doing treatments with our clients, I am a skin therapist with a passion for skin care and am excited to help our clients look and feel their best. It wasn’t until the early 1900′s that people actually looked at skin care seriously. Your skin should be professionally treated, just as your teeth should be professionally cleaned, on a routine basis. Many people view facials as a time to relax… go in to a spa, put on a robe, listen to soothing music, and forget, even momentarily, about the day to day stresses that affect our daily lives. Unfortunately, we don’t make it a priority in our lives to take care of ourselves, and it takes it’s toll. Your skin is the first thing people notice about you. Our self-esteem stems from how we feel people view us. If we take care of ourselves, we feel confident, and there is nothing in the way to stop us from achieving any goals we may have.
Anyone can go to school to learn esthetics. It’s a relatively short course and you learn the basics of skin care. It’s the continuing education that sets you apart. You delve deeper into skin care, how the skin functions, and the many new and improved ways to treat skin and achieve outstanding results. I believe that education is power. I want to not only treat your skin, but to improve it. It is this drive that directs me to take as many classes as I am able to. When you hear of something new out there, I want to be able to tell you all about it, and be able to guide you in the right direction.
