Using the revolutionary elôs Technology, a combination of light and bi-polar radio frequency, we can safely and effectively treat for hair removal. The target is preheated by using optical energy, which creates a thermal path on which the bi-polar radio frequency (RF) travels. RF is delivered directly to the hair follicle, which can not further conduct RF. When enough energy is absorbed by pigment in the hair, heat is produced and the temperature rise causes destruction of the follicle, resulting in the inability for hair regrowth.
Everyone has millions of hair follicles, each of which produces hair that naturally goes through a hair cylce consisting of 3 stages. Each hair goes through this cycle at its own pace. Our hair removal treatment is most effective on hair that is in the anagen (active) phase during the time of treatment. Since other hairs enter their active growth cycle at different times, multiple treatments (an average of six) are required to gradually disable the follicles in a given area. Each hair removal treatment will result in less hair, finer hair density and slower hair growth.

Are the results guaranteed?
No. It is impossible to predict the exact results a patient will achieve with hair removal; therefore no guarantee can be given to the results obtained or the number of treatments needed. Individual results may vary depending on realistic expectatiuon, medical history, genetic factors, and color and texture of the hair (more treatments may be required).
Will all my hair be gone?
No. There is only a 70-90% reduction of dark hair, and about a 50% reduction of blonde/gray/red hair. However, results will vary for every patient. No one can guarantee 100% reduction. The remaining hair is finer, thinner and slower growing.
Is hair removal permanent?
The hairs that were successfully treated will remain disabled and not grow hair. However, everyone has thousands of dormant/empty hair follicles that can be triggered to grow hair at anytime, usually by hormones (i.e. puberty, pregancy, and menopause). These were not able to be treateed during the course of treatments because they did not contain any actively growing hair.
How many treatments will I need?
It’s a minimum of 3 treatments and an average of 6 treatments, done 4-8 weeks apart. Depending on your skin color, hair color and thickness, and personal goals, more treatments may be necessary. How does the eLight DS get rid of my hair?
The eLight DS uses gentle light and electric energies to damage the hair follicle. This disables the follicle from growing hair, which means that gradually over several treatments, there is a permanent reduction in the amount of hair in that area.
Is treatment with the eLight safe?
Treatment is very safe for the skin. There are many advances in the eLight technology that make it one of the safest hair removal systems available for all skin colors. There are no long term health hazards from light or electric energies used in the eLight. Both have been used for decades in medicine, surgery, and aesthetics without adversity.
What kind of results can I expect from eLight DS treatment?
Each eLight DS treatment will result in less hair coming back, as well as hair growing progressively lighter in color, finer, and slower-growing with each treatment. It takes more than 1 treatment to affect all the follicles growing in an area. Most people achieve satisfactory clearance after 4-8 treatments, but individual results vary depending on medical and genetic factors. Lighter colored hair may require more treatments than darker colored hair.
Does the treatment hurt?
The sensation is often described as “hot pinch”, or “snapping” feeling. The sensation only lasts for fraction of a second, and you may feel warmth or tingling sensation for a short time afterward. Most people tolerate treatment without any topical anesthetic, which numbs the skin from feeling sensation.

What happens after each treatment?
Temporary pinkness in the skin lasts a very short time, and most people return to work or normal activities immediately after treatment. The treated area will “shed” some hairs over the next 3-4 weeks, and you may experience a period of hairlessness in the area while you wait for your next treatment.
